Day 36 (D-27) From Buffalo to Cody / Malboro country / Rin Tin Tin

On the road again*.  From the town of Buffalo to the town of Cody.  3 hours and 6 minutes, if we don't stop, 177 miles to cover before we arrive in Cody.  For the students who are going to Wyoming, you can look here at the map

I have a unique story about this journey in 2017.  I'll share it with the travellers when we arrive in Cody!

The town of Cody is named after William Frederick Cody, better known as Buffalo Bill (1846-1917).  He was an American scout, a bison hunter and a showman and he helped to create this town. More on Buffalo Bill in a few days.
Population 2018: 9520
Two photos.  Can you guess who they are?

Today's entertainment:
1.  Cowboys were also used in advertisement.  Do you remember Malboro Country?  What a pity.  I found three links on youtube, but once again, you can't open them from here.   You'll have to search for them yourselves.  Go to youtube and search Marlboro commercial cowboy.  You'll find several.  From the past when cigarette smoking was acceptable and commercials on television were permitted.

2.  Another television series: Do you remember The Adventures of Rin Tin TinIt was an American children's television program.  It began in October 1954 and ended in May 1959.  It was the story of a boy orphaned in an Indian raid who was being raised by the soldiers at US Cavalry post know as Fort Apache.  The boy and his German shepherd dog Rin Tin Tin helped the soldiers establish order in the American West. If you are curious, you might like to go surfing to discover the origin of the name Rin Tin Tin.  You can open this one.
